Two more people have been arrested related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

These detentions follow a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, two women had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Officers detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault near the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Authorities were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals hurt by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The attack - which police said was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
